Ceiling Tile IP Speaker Installation Guide
Tab1
IPSCM
If concerned with line performance, contact ANetD Tech Support at [email protected] for a ferrite noise suppressor. Wrap CAT5/CAT6 Ethernet cable around ferrite once and clamp shut.
Installation Instructions (Designed for use in drop ceiling)
- Cut ceiling tile if needed to accommodate a 2-foot by 2-foot space. Add a 2-foot cross tee as needed (not included).
- Complete the network cable run to the IPSCM.
- Connect the network cable to the Ethernet jack labeled PoE/PoE+.
NOTE: ANetD products require an IEEE 802.3af/at/bt compatible switch or injector to correctly classify and supply the power needed for our devices. Use of non-standard PoE powering schemes (such as 24V passive PoE) may cause damage and void your warranty.
- Tie off to building structure if required using the tab on the metal grill.
Button Kit with Microphone (Optional)
The module on the IPSCM includes a compatible center RJ12 port, labeled “Mic/Input”, designed to connect with the optional Button Kit with Microphone (BTN-KIT-MIC-ND) accessory (sold separately).
To install, simply disconnect the IPSCM RJ12 cable from the center port and run a separate RJ12 cable (6P6C) between the IPSCM and the BTN-KITMIC-ND wall plate. See Installation Flyer for BTNKIT-MIC-ND for details.
